In the years I spent as a WordPress user and developer, I have tried and used many free WordPress plugins and I can say that not all plugins in the official WordPress plugin repository are of good quality, because the process of uploading plugins by developers is not subject to strict control for the purpose of checking the quality of the code or... Similar... The process of accepting add-ons is done automatically by robots, which makes the quality of a very large percentage of the free WordPress add-ons available on the official repository very mediocre... For this reason, finding the appropriate add-ons requires trying many of them.
In this post, I will share with you a group of the best WordPress plugins that I have used in my career, as I have divided them into groups so that you can easily access the plugin you are looking for.
The blog will be constantly updated to add new additions and delete additions that are no longer at the required level or have been abandoned by the developer.
WordPress security plugins
Akismet plugin blocks spam comments. It is a free plugin for personal websites and a paid plugin for commercial websites (that generate income). necessary.
Anti-spam: An effective and elegant plugin that uses the hidden fields method with CSS as a trap for spam spiders. It works in a very effective way and may be an excellent alternative to Akismet.
BackWPup: a fantastic free plugin for creating automatic backups, the best I have tried (and I have tried many…), I like its flexibility in terms of settings, reliability and integration with cloud services (in my case, I store a copy in my SugarSync account) are essential.
UpdraftPlus Backup and Restoration for WordPress is a wonderful free add-on whose mission is to create backup copies of the site on a regular basis with the ability to restore or import them into another server. This add-on may be a great alternative to the BackWPup add-on.
Duplicator: A tremendous addition by all standards. With it, within a few minutes, you can create and install an exact copy of your blog on another hosting, which makes it very easy to transfer your blog to another web host. It is not for everyday use, but in case you want to move your blog to another host or want to create identical copies (for testing, etc.) it is necessary.
Limit Login Attempts: This add-on limits the number of attempts to access your blog or website. After a number of failed attempts, it blocks the IP from accessing your site, which makes hackers’ mission impossible. A very useful, simple, and 100% free addition. necessary.
iThemes Security: For me, it is the perfect addition to protecting your WordPress site from attacks and hacking attempts. It includes many features such as: making a backup copy of the database and sending it to your email (or saving it in the main folder of the site), changing the login link to hide the site from hackers... etc. Very necessary.
Wordfence: This add-on provides high protection in several aspects, including firewall, file scanning to detect malicious files and other important functions such as Limit Login Attempts. The paid version has more advanced features, which is definitely a great addition.
SEO plugins (search engine optimization)
Easy Twitter Links: Automatically creates links when it detects a Twitter tag (#labelname) or Twitter username (@username) anywhere in a post, page or comment.
Google Analytics for WordPress: This plugin automatically inserts the code that Google Analytics needs in order to collect site statistics.
WP Keyword Suggest: This plugin inserts a box into the WordPress editor page that enables you to find the appropriate keyword for your articles using autocomplete for Google, Yahoo, Bing... In this way you can try many keywords in a short time. It is a mandatory addition for archiving optimization geeks. .
Jetpack: Jetpack is actually a collection of 24 plugins (and growing…) with all kinds of functions created by the creator of WordPress Automattic: statistics, automatic publishing of posts in social networks, improvements to the photo gallery, buttons for social networks, contact form, spell correction ( It does not support the Arabic language) etc., etc., etc. Very necessary.
